Area Guide: Jenkintown, Glenside, and Abington

Spencer Insurance Agency, Inc. is located in Jenkintown near the Jenkintown Train Station. The train station links Jenkintown with Center City Philadelphia, Lansdale and West Trenton. A great example of this “Small Town Charm” is the annual Glenside 4^th of July Parade and Fireworks sponsored by “The Greater Glenside Patriotic Association.”  The parade began in 1904 and is one of the longest consecutive Fourth of July parades.   In addition you have several small town events like the Jenkintown Farmer’s Market and the Glenside Farmers Market.

The arts thrive in Jenkintown and Glenside.  The Jenkintown Festival of the Arts is an annual event in September in the heart of Jenkintown.  The Abington Arts Center provides year around events in the arts. Other highlights include the historic Keswick Theatre and the historic Hiway Theater.
