How We Can Help
Spencer Insurance Agency, Inc. also services other Philadelphia suburban areas with great products such as life, auto, home, and other insurances. One such suburb is the greater Doylestown area, which includes New Britain, Chalfont, Plumstead, and Buckingham. This area is just a quick drive up PA-611, or even an easy train ride from Jenkintown to either the New Britain or Doylestown train stations.
The Doylestown area is among the most well-rounded of the Philadelphia suburbs. The neighboring towns, like New Britain, Chalfont, Plumstead, and Buckingham combine to provide plenty of quiet, safe neighborhoods, excellent schools, and a quality community atmosphere. Doylestown Hospital provides residents with an easily accessible award-winning health facility. Meanwhile, they are only minutes from the excellent restaurants and shops that Doylestown has to offer.
The arts are alive and well in the Doylestown area. In addition to the many exhibitions that can be visited throughout the year, the Doylestown Arts Festival is an annual tradition that many in the area simply cannot get enough of. Be on the lookout. The festival takes place in early September each year.
The arts are just the beginning for this blossoming area. History is a mainstay as well. Visitors to the area and residents alike will surely enjoy the Mercer Museum. Built to house an extensive collection of objects owned by Henry Mercer which represent everyday life in the pre-industrial age is intriguing for all ages. Just next door is the Fonthill Castle. This enormous, 44-room structure displays Henry Mercer’s unique artistic and architectural vision. Visitors to the area can also visit the famous Pearl S. Buck house.
No area would be complete without something for the children. Peace Valley Park, which surrounds Lake Galena between New Britain and Doylestown, offers fourteen miles of nature trails through the woods and meadows and is home to more than 250 species of birds. Close by is Kid’s Castle, an eight story wooden playground structure located in Central Park. Parents have enjoyed bringing their children to Kid’s Castle for nearly two decades. Recently, Phase 1 of a three phase project to update Kid’s Castle was completed, making the community bedrock even better than before.
