Client Appreciation Open House Wednesday October 2, 2013

Spencer Insurance will hold a Client Appreciation Open House on Wednesday October 2, 2013 to show our appreciation to all our clients for making our 50th Anniversary possible.   Come out to our new offices between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM for some fun, food, drink, and prizes!  Bring the entire family!

Someone will spin our Big Wheel every 15 minutes for a chance to win a prize.  So mark the calendar and bring the family.  We look forward to seeing all of you.  RSVP at info@spencerinsurance.com or call our office at 215-885-2200.

Back in October of 1963 Travelers Insurance appointed Ed Spencer as an agent in the Jenkintown area.  One year later Walter Hauck was appointed by Travelers and both set up shop together sharing office space and staff for several years.  Many of our clients remember their location behind the Van Sciver furniture Store just above the John Wannamaker department store.  Wow, remember those names!

In 1993 Charlie purchased his father’s agency and one year later purchased Walter Hauck’s agency.  The agencies were combined to form Spencer Insurance Agency, Inc. The second generation of Spencers, Steve and Charlie, are preparing the agency for the next 50 years.

Spencer Insurance Agency, Inc. has grown to become a very strong, local, family owned, independent insurance agency representing several outstanding companies.  Our goal, which has not changed since 1963, is to provide the proper insurance coverage to our clients at a very competitive price and to continue to provide an exceptional level of service after the sale.  While we understand that price is important we recognize that the “True Cost of Insurance” can be much higher if you do not have the proper coverage.

In this our 50th year we are very grateful to our clients and companies for making this day possible.  We thank you for your loyalty, trust and referrals over the years. We are honored to continue to have the opportunity to serve our clients of many years.  Some of our clients started with us back in 1963.  We continue to service many of the 2nd and 3rd generations of these families.

Charlie and Steve have a great mentor in their father, Ed Spencer.  My father taught us the importance of continuing to take care of our client after the sale.  Many of our clients are like family. We look forward to servicing your insurance needs for another 50 years. Okay, maybe the next generation will have to help us with this task.  Come out on October 2nd and reminisce and let us know how we can continue to assist you in the future!
